Mr Noorudin.S.Bhamani (PWD) President Awareness Voluntary Organization was invited along with other NGOs & Schools working for the development of Special Education in Sindh by Mr Imtiaz Shaikh
the new incoming Minister of Special Education on 1st December 2011 for a consultative meeting to enhance the ongoing system of special educating in Sindh.
This was the first time that any minister had consulted the non-governmental sector to improvise the special education sector. The participating NGOs & Schools appraised the Minister of the flaws & barriers in the on-going special education system. Mr Imtiaz Shaikh gave proper attention to all participants expressing the problem and suggested them to submit their suggestions in writing to the office of the Ministry of Special Education by hand or through E-mail. He assured the participant that after evaulating the suggestions another consultative meeting will be called very soon.
The warm & positive attitude of all the staff of the office of the Minister of Special Education was really outstanding especially towards persons with disabilities.
