A seminar, titled “Leadership for Reproductive Health Paradigm” was organised by LEAD Pakistan

Noorudin.S.Bhamani (PWD), President Awareness Voluntary Organization was invited to attend a seminar organized by LEAD Pakistan on Monday, 14^th November 2011 from 9,00 am to 2.00 pm at Regent Plaza Karachi.

The seminar, titled “Leadership for Reproductive Health Paradigm” was organised by LEAD Pakistan to demonstrate how the villagers were involved to bring change in reproductive health practices in Khairpur district. The four-year project was funded by David and Lucile Packard Foundation. The chief guest, Syed Mumtaz Ali, said that the project made a significant impact on the people and the district government needs to play a vital role in supporting and sustaining these initiatives. Mr Waqas Shiekh, Dr Suleman Qazi, Mr Muzaffer Panhwar, Mr Aumir Mangi & Syeda Yumna Hasany of LEAD Pakistan also spoke on this occasion.

The aim of this seminar was to enhance the understanding of the Leadership for Reproductive Health (LRH) model and share the lessons learnt from the reproductive health project

Noorudin.S.Bhamani (PWD) spoke on behalf of the Disability Community of being neglected from the mainstream society in their education on Reproductive Health, in spite of being almost 9% to 10% of the total population of Pakistan.He also appraised the participant the humiliation & discrimination faced by the PWD's in the society.
