Noorudin.S.Bhamani (PWD) President Awareness Voluntary Organization was invited to attend an Award Ceremony organized by Friends Group Welfare Organization to appreciate the services of some individual who have achieved landmark in service to humanity’ in 2011.
Chief Guest of this event was Col. Isharat Mehmood (Dy Commander Karachi – Sachaal Rangers) also present on this occasion were Ms Munawar Fatma, the renowned personality of Special Education in Pakistan, Ms. Shahida Hyder of Special Olympic Pakistan, along with some elite guests, donors and supports of Friends Group Welfare Organization. Children with diverse disabilities from various special schools and rehabilitation centres were also present to perform in the presence of the attendees along with their teachers, parents and care-takers.

Mr. Hanif Shaikh, a veteran special educator and president of Friends Group Welfare Organization welcomed the guests. Ms Razia Khan Vice President expressed her vision about creating a shelter home for persons with intellectual disabilities. Mr. Syed Muhammad Saeed read the mission statement of Friends Group Welfare Organization.
Ms Munawar Fatma was given ‘Life Time Achievement Award’ for contributing 40 years of her life to special education in Pakistan. Noorudin.S.Bhamani (PWD) President Awareness Voluntary Organization, and Ms Shamira.N.Bhamani (Coordinator Women Wing) Awareness Voluntary Organization were given ‘Service to Humanity’ 2011 Award’ for their contribution in serving the deprived section of the society in 2011.
All the attendees enjoyed the performance by Children with diverse disabilities from various special schools and rehabilitation.
