MQM PWDs Wing ‘Dialogue on Self Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities’ Karachi 9th July, 2013

PROGRAM REPORT

MQM PWDs Wing under the guidance of Quaid-e-Tahreek Altaf Hussien Bhai & Rabita Committee had organized an event ‘Dialogue on Self Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities’ at Khursheed Memorial Hall, Nine Zero, Karachi on 9^th July, 2013.

The attendees consists of PWDs from different sections of the society with diverse disabilities, also present were members of Rabita Committee, MNAs, MPAs, In-charge of various Wings and not to forget mentioning the vibrant, empathic & humble volunteers of MQM.

The program started with comparing by Mr. Muhammad Hussein (Visually Impaired) joint In-charge MQM PWDs Wing, Tilawat was recited by Muhammad Azim (Multiple Physical Disabilities) Committee Member MQM PWDs Wing & Naat recitation by Shabana Sarwar (Physically Impaired).

In her welcoming speech, Ms.Kishwer Zehra MNA & In-charge MQM Women Wing expressed the philosophy of Quaid-e-Tahreek Altaf Hussien Bhai & MQM of ‘Empowerment for All’. The creation of a PWDs Wing will facilitate Persons with Disabilities from all walks of life without any discrimination of their creed, caste or political affiliation.

She also addressed the attendees from different NGOs & DPOs,  stating that the philosophy of Quaid-e-Tahreek Altaf Hussien Bhai & MQM was only, ‘Empowerment for All’ & we do not want any political gain or creating a soft image for our party, you may keep on working & if there are any hurdles we are there to support you. We will become your eyes, limbs, ear & voice unconditionally.

Mr. Noorudin.S.Bhamani (Adviser & Consultant Disability Related Issues), Mr. Muhammad Mubinuddin (Joint In-charge PWDs Wing), Mr Shakil Ahmed Khan (Hard Core Supporter of the Disabled Community), Mr. Muhammad Hussein (Joint In-charge PWDs Wing), Mr. Adnan Sarwar (In-charge PWDs Wing) & Mr. Salim Ahmed Siddiqui (Member Rabita Committee)   also spoke on the occasion.

+Quaid-e-Tahreek Altaf Hussien Bhai especially sent Ramzan Gifts of dates & seasonal mangoes for the attendees.
