The Disabled Community is the most deprived humiliated and
discriminated people of our country. Most of the time it is noticed in market
places, Shopping Malls, Parks & Public Places, that if a Person or child
with Disabilities is seen approaching somebody, it is assumed by almost all the
general public that he or she is going to ask for some financial or medical
help, is totally invalid and a GOOD FOR NOTHING, or
a burden to the society. “No sir, this is not the case, every human has a
hidden talent within its self & if given a chance they can also achieve
Landmarks & live their life in their own style.
Hence, to overcome
these perceptions, and to focous Positive Views & Mind-Set of the future
upcoming young generations, that Disability is a Physiological or Medical Issue rather than a disgrace to
society, Awareness Voluntary Organization in partnership with Karachi
Metropolitan Corporation (Department of Culture, Sports & Recreation) is
conducting a series of ‘School Awareness Campaign’ on Disability in 3 phases
for a supportive & inclusive environment in Karachi. The first phase
session is being conducted in 5 Grass Root Level Special Needs Schools.
