
Telenor (Pakistan) conducted a Lecture on 'Ethics of Volunteerism’ for their employees at Telenor Office (Karachi).
Telenor (Pakistan) believes that corporate volunteering has arrived as a major focus in the way business and community form and view their relationships. It is an initiative in which the corporation supports and encourages employees to volunteer their time to support local community organizations and causes. Volunteering in the community along with corporate support is viewed by many as one of the most satisfying of all forms of corporate social involvement.
Keeping in mind corporate volunteerism, Telenor (Pakistan) developed the idea of regional volunteer teams which comprised of Telenor employees and play a vital role in all our emergency response projects. A Volunteering team has been set up with the purpose of recruiting maximum number of employees to not only develop the spirit of volunteerism but also create a taskforce that can extend immediate support in emergency response and be actively involved in local community projects. Employees have the choice of including their names voluntarily in this team, and the number of volunteers is steadily increasing. The support and hard work of Telenor employees has helped position Telenor (Pakistan) as a leader in corporate responsibility.
Mr Noorudin.S.Bhamani, President of Awareness Voluntary Organization was invited to give a lectue on 'Ethics of Volunteerism’ and create awareness of working with Persons with Disabilities.
All the attendees were very enthusiastic about this session with a surge of inclination to serve the community & the nation by gaining enhanced knowledge through this lecture.

P.S. Mr Noorudin.S.Bhamani a Person with Severe Multiple Disabilities was taken all the way to their Disabled Friendly cafeteria for refreshment as a gesture of Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities by the team of Corporate Responsibility & the attendees, instead of serving him refreshment separately in the auditorium.
